California businesses are seeing the benefits of becoming ISO certified.
 AEROSPACE companies doing business in California benefit from the efficiencies of the AS9100 family of aerospace standards. Even more important is the requirements dictated by the aerospace Primes, tier-one companies that require all of their aerospace component suppliers to be certified by an official ISO registrar to the AS9100 standard. To be considered as a potential new supplier to the primes and, in almost all cases, to continue as an existing supplier, your company MUST get and maintain AS9100 certification. AS9100 requirements are also flowing down to second and third-tier suppliers. If you are not AS9100 Registered, your company is limited from being considered as a supplier.
AUTOMOTIVE OEM suppliers are required to comply and to be third-party-certified under the ISO/TS 16949:2002 Standard for Automotive Quality. TS 16949 provides for global harmonization with other automotive manufacturers, allowing for improved quality products in the automotive industry.
